SIALKOT -: A delegation of 1,225 male and female Sikh Yatrees from across the world visited Kartarpura-Shakargarh for participating in their religious rites on Sunday. The Sikhs also took “Ashnaan” (bath) there.A London-based Sardar Balbeet Singh, Sardar Badal Singh, Preet Kaur and Manmohan Singh jointly led the delegation. The visiting Sikh yatrees from Indian, UK, the US, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Belgium also refreshed their pre-partition memories. They also distributed special sweets among locals besides extending gratitude to the Muslims.

They highly hailed the Pakistan Government’s sincere efforts for safeguarding Sikh Gurudawaras and their other sacred places in the country. The Sikhs yatrees also lauded the efforts for the normalisation of relations between Pakistan and India.

On the occasion, foolproof security arrangements were made by police and other security agencies.
