The district government completed renovation of the tomb of Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan, a prominent leader of Pakistan Movement and a close companion of Qauaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and constructed a library and an art gallery adjacent to the tomb in a short period of two months. The inauguration of the renovated tomb and library was held in Pind Dadan Khan here.

Jhelum DCO Zulfiqar Ahmed Ghumman and MPA Nazar Mohammad Gondal were the guests of honour at the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, the DCO said that due to the dilapidated condition of the tomb of the Pakistan Movement leader, the district administration had decided to renovate it at the earliest. He pointed out that people who forget their national heroes could not progress.

Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan had been appointed as the migrant settlement minister after the formation of Pakistan and he had rendered untiring services for the rehabilitation and the settlements of the Muslims who had migrated from India. On the occasion, MPA Nazar Mohammad Gondal said that Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan had adopted three girls from a refugees camp, brought them up and gave them share from his property.
