Media is a useful tool as it keeps us up to date and is a form of entertainment but everything has its pros and cons and our media is the reason for increase in violence in children. The disturbing images of fights, news of bomb blasts and shooting, wrestling and action movies pollute the sensitive mind of a young one. When the brain is in its developing stage and a child views violence it can leave a mark on their personality. Children are easily influenced by these aggressive TV shows and can develop a tendency to bully in school. The bullying culture stimulates peer pressure and other complexities among the children. Parents should monitor their children while they are watching TV. In case of extra precaution ‘child lock’ can be set on the inappropriate channels.
