Pharma Trax for patient safety initiatives

CEO DRAP (Drug regulatory Authority of Pakistan) Shaikh Akhter Hussain inaugurated the 5th International Pharma Convention and 14th Health Asia Pharmaceutical exhibition. He was chief guest while Governor of Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana was guest of honor DDG Lahore Asim Rauf also attended the auspicious occasion.

Rizwan Buttar Chief Innovation Officer of Pharma Trax delivered a keynote speech on Traceability Initiatives for Pharmaceutical products to achieve patient safety during 5th Pharma conference 2018 held at Lahore Expo Center. Explained the benefits of 2D Bar -Codes to solve issues like recall management, counterfeiting and supply chain visibility of pharmaceutical products. Explained multi-level serialization and aggregation system from pallet to container, enabling 360 Degree Supply Chain Visibility. How without opening the packaging, companies can get access to unique item level data of all contents and share it with relevant stakeholders.

While talking to the audience at conference Dr. Shaikh Akhter Hussain expressed his vision for Drap and Drap efforts for access of quality medicine to the public. He was of the view that Drap mission is to ensure availability of quality medicine to people of Pakistan. Drap formulated a special task force nationwide to curb the elements involved in manufacturing of spurious or unregistered medicines in light of Supreme Court orders he told.

DDG Lahore Asim Rauf Sahib also addressed the audience that under dynamic leadership of Dr. Shaikh Akhter Hussain and implementation of expression of his vision, they are working day and night for national interest and for improvement in the Pharma sector.

Later Shaikh Akhter Hussain and Asim Rauf welcomed Governor of Punjab Muhammad Rafique Rajwana and visited the stalls of various exhibitors with Governor.
