MARDAN - Former District Education Officer (female) Karak Nargis Jamal on Thursday alleged that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government was pressurising her for forced retirement, adding that chief justice of Supreme Court should take notice of the matter and provide her justice.
She expressed these views while addressing a news conference at Mardan Press Club. Nargis said that she was serving in education department for the last 25 years. She added that she remained on teaching and administrative posts during this period. She added that she remained as assistant director, planning officer and statistics officer. She added that government also gave her award for the best performance.
She said that she was performing duty at Government Higher Secondary School, Swabi as principal when in august 2017, the government appointed her as DEO (female) Karak. She said that she was performing her during honestly. She added that she also shifted her family to Karak.
She added that during that time, her tussle started with corrupt mafia. She added that during that time, on March 20, the KP government issued her transfer orders without any reason and made her officer on special duty (OSD). She added that later, on March 24, she shot an e-mail to Chief Minister KP Pervez Khattak and on March 30, she also submitted a departmental appeal.
She added that later, on March 31st, she went back to Karak to her office to hand over the charge. She said that when she reached the office, the staff told her that DEO (male) had taken the change. The staff told her that the DEO had taken possession of all the files. She said that in the meanwhile, someone locked the main gate and locked her in the office. She said that the staff also harassed her. She said that she contacted district police officer, Karak and after half an hour, police reached there and released her.
She added that later, she submitted an application to the deputy commissioner and stated all about the incident.
She added that she also requested that FIR should be registered against Lal Shahid, clerk, Gul Faraz Khan, ADO, Ali, budget officer, Zafar Mahmood, clerk, and the DEO (male) Karak for allegedly having harassed and thrashed her. She said that after the passage of several weeks, the FIR was not registered against the mentioned people.
She added that she was ready for forced retirement but government should do justice with her and take action against the mentioned people who disgraced a BPS-19 female officer. She appealed to the chief justice of Supreme Court to take action in this connection and provide her justice.
