1,006 patients get discharged, 68 patients test positive in 24 hours

Rawalpindi   -  Two more patients died of coronavirus in the city here on Monday, informed sources.

Some 1006 patients got discharged from the hospital after recovery during last 24 hours and 68 patients tested positive of deadly virus, they said. 

According to sources, Rasheeda Begum, 85, a resident of Chittian Hattian near committee Chowk, was brought to Rawalpindi Institute of Urology on April 18 and she died on Monday morning.   Abdul Latif, 70, a resident of Allama Iqbal Mohallah in Tench Bhatta, was brought to District Headquarters Hospital on April 17 and he died on Monday morning, they said.

During last 24 hours, significant drop was witnessed in Covid-19 positive cases. In five hospitals and home isolation as many as 1006 patients discharged after recovery in the district. Total 68 patients were reported from the district while 45 patients from the garrison city including 12 patients from Cantonment and 16 patients arrived from Potohar Town and 17 from Rawal Town areas.       

From other parts of the district, a patient from Gujar Khan, 12 from Taxila, and one from Murree, while five patients arrived from Islamabad, one each from Attock, Lahore, Haripur and KP.
