Anti-graft body books land mafia king Saeen Fazal, 5 officers of revenue department

RAWALPINDI   -   Anti-graft body booked notorious land mafia king Saeen Fazal Inam along with five officers of land revenue department and some civilians for transferring land worth millions of rupees in his name through fraudulent way, informed sources on Monday.

The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged with Police Station of Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) Rawalpindi Region on complaint of Mirza Muhammad Riaz under sections 420/468/471 of PPC and 5/2/47 of PCA against Saeen Fazal Inam and other accused, they said. 

The other accused have been identified as Tehsildar Adnan Kiani, Shaukat Manzoor Hussain, Zameer Ahmed, Tariq Mehmood, Saqib Waseem (all are land revenue officers) and Hameeda Begum, sources said.

However, the investigators of anti-graft body did not make any arrest so far.

According to sources, Mirza Muhammad Riaz lodged complaint with Director ACE Rawalpindi Region stating that two men namely Manzoor Hussain and Zameer Hussain had sold out their lands through mutation numbers 515 and 516 in Mouza Dadhar Mirza in 2004. Later, the duo had transferred the land measuring 582 kanals and six marlas in the name of Saeen Fazal Inam via mutation numbers 1327, 1329, 1330, 1332, 1333, 1334 and 1335 that too without following legal procedure (Muqabla Girdawari) in 2007. He added the duo had sold out 38 kanal and five marlas earlier through mutation numbers 515 and 516. The complainant said Saeen Fazal Inam bribed the land revenue officers for transferring the land worth million of rupees without following the legal procedure of land revenue department. He pleaded the ACE Rawalpindi Region Director to register case against the land mafia king of Rawalpindi Saeen Fazal Inam and his other accomplices including the officers of land revenue officers and to recover his land from their clutches. 

The director assigned the task to circle officer to hold inquiry into allegations. The CO held an inquiry and found Saeen Fazal Inam and others guilty in the inquiry report and recommended registration of a case against them. ACE Rawalpindi Region Police Station registered case against notorious land mafia king Saeen Fazal Inam and other accused and started raiding to nab them, sources said. According to sources, a series of cases had already been lodged by anti-graft body against Saeen Fazal Inam but he could not be arrested so far.
