Pakistan reports 5,445 coronavirus cases in 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 137 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 766,882. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 16,453 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 5,445 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 7,561 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,556 in Sindh, 2,920 in KP, 645 in Islamabad, 442 in Azad Kashmir, 225 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.

Furthermore 273,566 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 273,466 in Sindh, 107,309 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 70,609 in Islamabad, 21,000 in Balochistan, 15,741 in Azad Kashmir and 5,191 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 11,272,531 coronavirus tests and 68,002 in the last 24 hours. 667,131 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,494 patients are in critical condition.
