LAHORE - Provincial Minister for Food Ch Abdul Ghafoor has said that Punjab government had so far distributed 40,000 bags of flour among the people of flood affected areas in the province as well as 25,000 flour bags were distributed by flour mills association. According to an official handout issued here on Thursday, the minister said that flour bags were being provided to flood-hit districts on demands of the DCOs of concerned districts. He also appealed the people to send food items to flood-hit areas for the help of their brethren. The minister said the government was mobilising all available resources for providing maximum relief to flood affectees. He said that Punjab food department was supplying 14,060 tons of wheat daily to flour mills.
