ISLAMABAD The papers of the Pakistan Cricket Board put its chairman Ijaz Butt in hot waters during the Privileges Committee of the Senate in which Butts written statement was enough to prove him guilty. However, Ijaz Butt refused to apologise on his contradictory remarks about two Senators - Tariq Azeem and Haroon Khan. PML (Q) Senator Haroon Khan moved the privileges motion against chairman PCB and said that he accused him of blackmailing. Later, talking to media, Ijaz Butt said that there was no conspiracy against him in the board. I came here direct from Dubai and could not prepare myself for this meeting. I am not against the media and did not criticise the media people. Some people are misquoting me in the newspapers and twisting my statements, he viewed. He said that he never said any thing against the senators. I respect the Parliament and all its committees. At the moment I am not clear about my statements which have been produced in the meeting. I need some time to investigate these things. I did not insult the Senators, he said.
