TOBA TEK SINGH - DCO Syed Javed Iqbal directed TMA administrator to get registered cases against all such influential persons who had allegedly got connections directly from main water supply pipeline in the way which supplied drinking water from Bhaghat canal to the city.
While addressing a meeting with representatives of Majlis Mufad Aama (MMA) in his office, he also asked the administrator and TMO to make more efficient the complaint cell at TMA office and regularly check redressal of complaints lodged by citizens.
MMA office-bearers, PML-N District President Chaudhry Amjad Ali Javed, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Dr Zahid Sattar, PPP City General Secretary Rana Khalid Mahmood, JI Tehsil Ameer Sanullah Mufti, Sunni Tehreek District convenor Maulana Munem Siddiqi, former municipal committee vice chairman Lala Anees Butt and PTI district additional secretary Ijaz Insari apprised the DCO that contaminated water was being supplied by the TMA to the city while some of the localities even received sewage-mixed water.
On the occasion, the DCO asked the administrator to immediately resolve the complaints. He also directed the DSP traffic police to allot parking lots for rickshaws on all main roads of the city.
