Criticising the ongoing protests of the PTI and PAT in Islamabad against the government, Jamaat-e-Islami Naib Ameer Hafiz Muhammad Idrees said that his party always played a key role for finding solutions to political issues through dialogues.
He said that Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri and PTI Chief Imran Khan had showed obstinacy and as a result, the national economy was suffering huge loss while the damage would increase if the situation prolonged.
He was talking to the media after condoling with PPP Punjab Secretary General Tanveer Ashraf Kaira over the death of his uncle Ch Akram Kaira. He said that martial law was not the solution of any problem but the path adopted by them only went toward marshal law.
Political issues should be solved through political way, he suggested. He said that the demands made by Tahirul Qadri were in the manifesto of every party but the way chosen by him in this regard was wrong and incomprehensible. He criticised Imran Khan over his call of civil disobedience and announcement to enter into the red zone.
“It is not political maturity. Imran Khan is a political leader and he had announced to remain with PTI workers for the whole time but he speaks to the gathering and goes to sleep at comfortable place in his house. The act of Imran khan has disappointed the PTI workers,” he said.
He said that verily, there was corruption and favouritism in the government and these practice should be addressed. He also said that no government was free from corruption and favouritism.
