PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Population Welfare Department has arranged an advance training course for the women medical officers of the department at Regional Training Institute, Peshawar.
"The programme was organised in collaboration with the technical and financial assistance of UNFPA in which 15 women medical officers from across the province were participating," said a press release issued on Tuesday by Population Welfare Department.
It said the course was being organised aimed at equiping the participants with the latest information regarding reproductive health and gender-based violence.
Secretary Population Welfare Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Fazal Nabi Khan, Project Director UNFPA Dr Najma Sultana and Programme Analyst, In-charge Sub Office UNFPA Lubna Tajik also attended the opening session.
Addressing the participants, Fazal Nabi Khan said the advance training course had been out sourced for the first time to renowned and well-established specialists in the field of reproductive health and hoped that the cause of this training course quality of services will be ensured which will ultimately benefit the general public and people seeking reproductive service in particular.
