BAHAWALPUR
A man killed his sister here in Basti Mauza Jillani situated in Anayti Police precincts and surrendered himself to police here on Tuesday.
Ghulam Qadir suspected his sister Ghulam Jannat, mother of four children, of having illicit relationship with someone. She was asleep when he strangulated her.
Ghulam Qadir told the media that his sister had a bad character and had eloped with her lover named Shahid Bhutta. He said that after involvement of local notables, she was brought back on Sunday night.
The police handed over the dead body to the family after autopsy and registered a case against Ghulam Qadir, on the complaint of the deceased woman’s husband Basheer Ahmad.
