Slain Punjab home minister Shuja Khanzada was a brave man who had an unflinching resolve against terrorism. The void created by Khanzada’s unfortunate death can never be filled, Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq said on Wednesday.
He urged the government and the state institutions to work together for eradication terrorism and establishment of peace in the country.
The JI chief went to the residence of late Khanzada where he offered condolence to his son. He also offered Fateha for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Haq urged all the political parties to forge unity to safeguard the country’s interest by making efforts for peace.
He said that the late Khanzada was a brave person and his sacrifice would not go waste. About the Karachi operation, the JI chief said that businessmen and the general public have expressed satisfaction over the operation as incidents of extortion, kidnapping and target killing have declined in the city.
