The Jammu and Kashmir National Front yesterday condemned the puppet authorities in Indian occupied Kashmir for registration of sedition cases against Jammu & Kashmir Duktharan-e-Millat Chairperson Syeda Asiya Andrabi and Muhammad Ashan Untoo for hoisting national flag of Pakistan.

“The registration of FIR under sedition charges against Kashmiri people, hoisting Pakistani flags in Srinagar and other parts of the occupied state, is a highly condemnable act and against the spirits of UN resolutions on Kashmir”, JKNF Vice Chairman Altaf Hussain Wani said.

The Kashmiri leader recalled that Jammu & Kashmir state is a disputed territory and people of the state have not yet decided their political future according to their wishes and as enshrined in UN resolutions on Kashmir.

“People of Jammu & Kashmir have-not yet subscribed their allegiance to the Indian constitution, therefore, there is no sedition in hosting a flag of their choice or celebrating the Independence Day of the country they want to join as their future destiny”, Wani pointed out.

He regretted that India through unprecedented might and oppression wants to legitimise her unlawful and forced occupation in the internationally-acknowledged disputed Himalayan state. Wani asked the Indian government to give up intransigence and stop the policy that are detrimental to the peace of region, aims at changing the demography of Indian occupied Kashmir.

The JKNF VC expressed his grief over the loss of lives of innocent civilians and damage to properties following the frequent unprovoked Indian firing at the line of control in AJK and working boundary in Sialkot.

The Kashmiri leader urged international community to step in and impress upon the Indian aggression on LoC and human rights violations in Indian-occupied Jammu & Kashmir state.
