ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) president Saleem Saif Ullah Khan Wednesday inaugurated the 14-day long training camp for junior tennis players at POF tennis center under the auspices of POF Sports Control Board.

Top 20 junior players (of age 13 to 17) from across the country would be given coaching in this camp in which four junior players were from Wah Cantt. Asian Tennis Federation (ATF)-appointed qualified coach Khansaman Pracharapol of Thailand would impart high-quality training and modern techniques to Pakistani junior players.

Col (R) Inamullah Khan is designated as camp commandant. The PTF president thanked POF Board chairman Lt Gen Omar Mahmood Hayat, HI (M), for arranging the training camp at POF. “Sports facilities available in POF are at par with international standard and POF administration is playing vital role for promotion of sports in the country.”

Salim stressed upon the junior players to get maximum benefit from the training camp so that they might improve their skill and brought laurels for Pakistan at international level.

Earlier, POF Sports Control Board secretary Shehryar Khan said: “It is a matter of immense pleasure and honour for us that the PTF chief is among us as a chief guest. This training camp will provide an opportunity to the juniors to learn the modern tennis techniques. All sports federations of Pakistan can benefit from the sports facilities available in POF.”
