Rawalpindi - Ten Afghan nationals were arrested yesterday on the charges of staying illegally in Pakistan.

All the arrested people were sent to Adiala Jail under 14 Foreign Act, police said. They were arrested in a special police operation from the areas of Rawat, Kallar Syedan and Chontra. They were living in Pakistan without valid documents. The arrested people included Sarwar Khan, Momin Khan, Mehraj Khan, Abdul Halim, Hazrat Ullah, Khair Ullah, Bilal, Rehmat Shah, Muhammad Alim and Shah Noor. Separately, police held five landlords and tenants for not providing their details to concerned police stations. Cases have been lodged against the detainees under Punjab Information of Temporary Residents Ordinance 2015 and all were sent to jail. The accused were identified as Mir Afzal, Sheraz, Arshad, Aurangzeb and Mir Wali. Meanwhile, city traffic police arrested a large number of bikers for committing one-wheeling. Chief Traffic Officer Shoaib Khurram Janbaz said the one-wheeling was banned in the city and the dangerous activity was already being checked by special squads of traffic officials deputed on the city roads.
