GILGIT - Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly unanimously passed resolution condemning Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement about Gilgit-Baltistan.
Reacting strongly to the statement of Indian PM Narendra Modi regarding Gilgit-Baltistan, legislators in G-B Legislative Assembly have called him an insane extremist Hindu and an enemy of Muslims.
The resolution was tabled jointly by Deputy Speaker GBLA Jafarullah Khan and Parliamentary Secretary Law Aurangzaib in the assembly on Friday which stated that the Indian premier is mentally upset. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan are all proud as citizens of Pakistani and there are no human rights violations in the area. He urged that Modi’s should focus on Indian held Kashmir where Indian forces are violating human rights on daily basis.
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Raja Jahanzaib said that Modi should be held accountable for the killing of innocent Kashmiries in occupied Kashmir. Gilgit-Baltistan will not tolerate such remarks by any Indian government official, he added.
Meanwhile a large number of political leaders, civil society members and citizens in various districts of Gilgit-Baltistan staged protest rallies against Indian premier’s statement regarding Gilgit-Baltistan.
