LAHORE - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given the domestic cricket a financial boost with a considerable raise in the player’s earnings. With new system now, hundreds of thousands rupees would be on offer for national team players in domestic players too. The move would also help first class cricketers earn respectably while playing in the domestic circuit.

According to sources, this increase has been made across all the formats with four-day competitions getting raise in daily allowance while one-day tournament, T20 tournaments and Pakistan Cup also got prize money boost.

As per details, a player in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy would get additional Rs200 as daily allowance along with Rs 15000 match fee. A national team player would get half of Test match fee if he plays in a four-day match. The central-contracted players would also get match fee in accordance with international match fee for one-day and domestic Twenty20 events. The new system has enabled the international cricketers to earn at least half of the money in the domestic circuit they earn while representing Pakistan at international level.

The PCB has also increased the per match payment for Pakistan Cup from Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000. The match fee for Twenty20 tournaments has been doubled from Rs 12,000 to Rs 24,000. In One-day Cup Tournament, the players would get Rs 20,000 as match fee. The PCB has also increased the budget for providing food to cricketers during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.  The sources said that the players would also get daily allowances on regular basis along with the match fee.
