Liaqat Baloch says Imran’s address packed with ambitions

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary General Liaqat Baloch has termed Prime Minister Imran Khan’s first address to the nation as good and said that it was packed with ambitions and announcements.

In a statement here, he said that the PTI was now in power in the centre, the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan; and there was no obstruction in bringing about a change in the system.

He said that the people wanted the solution of their problems and the new government would have to break the status quo for motivating the state machinery towards service of the masses. He said that the obstruction in Imran Khan’s way could come from his own party.

He said the JI would welcome every good work of the government but would stand in the way of any attempt to divert from the Islamic ideology. The JI Secretary General said that the opposition parties should stand united on the President’s election and added that Aitzaz Ahsan was a good choice for the top post.
