According to details, on a tip-off, the security services raided the Sui Road area and foiled an attempt of smuggling the birds to Punjab.

According to police, there is no department of wildlife in the district while the Quetta office has been informed about the incident.

Earlier, Supreme Court (SC) held a hearing on pleas submitted by both federal and provincial governments against the ban on Houbara Bustard hunt but no final decision was made.

The requests for lifting the ban also state that there is no such restriction on the hunt in both the provincial laws and according to the international agreement.
