MULTAN - A security guard of a money changer fled with his employer's cash worth Rs. 11.8 million from a bus stand when his boss left him alone with a cash-filled bag and went to purchase bus ticket here on Saturday.

The guard was identified as Riaz who was going with money changer Imtiaz to Dera Ghazi Khan. The CCTV footage shows that the guard picked up the bag and fled on a rickshaw as soon as Imtiaz moved to purchase ticket. The money changer contacted police who also booked Imtiaz for moving with such a huge amount without proper security arrangements. The Seetal Mari Police also took another guard into custody and conducted raids to catch the accused. However, Riaz was at large till filing of this report.

JUBILATION FIRE CLAIMS LIFE: A 13-year-old boy was killed and two persons sustained injuries during fire in jubilation at a wedding in Multan.

According to police sources, friends of the groom Kashif opened fire in jubilation during the wedding procession. As a result a boy named Arshad died on the spot whereas two others - Rizwan and Imran sustained gunshot wounds.

The rescue team shifted the injured to Nishtar hospital's emergency ward

Moreover, dozens of the wedding guests were also taken into custody. Police registered a case against bridegroom and his father.
