Islamabad - National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost the mutual cooperation in the field of research, development and innovation.
The MoU was signed by Director General NUML Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal and President ICMA Kashif Mateen Ansari in a ceremony held here at a local hotel, says a press release issued here yesterday.
Director Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) NUML Prof Dr Karamat Ali, Registrar NUML Brig (Retd) Aminullah Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Director General NUML Brig Riaz Ahmed Gondal said that strong and active relation between academia to academia can promote the research and innovation culture in the country. He said that NUML will provide its best expertise and will maximize its cooperation with ICMA to achieve desired results. Brig Gondal said that ICMA is playing pivotal role in equipping the management accountant professionals with up to date knowledge to better serve their motherland.
He ensured President ICMA that NUML will extend fullest cooperation with the institute under this MoU. He also invited ICMA to participate in the entrepreneurial week of NUML which will be held next week.
President ICMA KashifMateen Ansari while briefing the DG NUML regarding ICMA said that ICMA Pakistan was established in 1951 with the objective to regulate and promote the profession of management accounting in Pakistan. He said that both the institutions can jointly contribute for the educational uplift of the country. He said that student and faculty exchange programme will be initiated under this MoU which will be equally benefitted for both institutions.
