Islamabad-Specialists in the field of medicines enlightened the masses on the significance of public health and how a lot of many diseases could be avoided by just adopting the preventive measures .

The five days course on the ‘Public Health Planning for Hearing Impairment’ was jointly organised by the Pakistan Institute of Rehabilitations Sciences and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medical.

Renowned national and international specialists delivered their lectures to the participants of the course while during the sessions the participants were also engaged in interactive sessions where the participants also shared the problems they were facing in their jobs.

Professionals shared their experiences with the participants and highlighted the common hearing impairments and the way and means to avoid it through preventive measures .

The main speakers at various sessions of the course included Prof. Dr Andrew Smith (LSH&TM) led the course and Prof Dr Muhammad Daud Khan, Dr Farrukh Seir, Dr Asif Mumtaz Sukhera, and Prof. Dr Hamid Khattak.
