LAHORE - PML-Q president Ch Shujaat Hussain has said the alliance of opposition parties could only be formed when respective groups would drop their names for future prime minister.

The former prime minister was indirectly criticising PTI and PPP for nominating Imran Khan and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari as next prime minister and termed it inappropriate political moves and hurdle in formation of greater and impressive alliance of opposition parties.

Addressing a joint ceremony of PML-Q and PTI in connection of cooperation in local bodies election in Gujrat, Shujaat Hussain said the opposition parties must put aside their ego and unite on a single national agenda. He said he had suggested the same to Imran Khan and asked him (Imran) to call a meeting of all parties on single agenda of unity.

The senior politician also welcomed return of former president Asif Zardari to Pakistan and termed it a welcome move in politics of the country.

On this occasion, Union Council Chakiyaan Chairman Mohammad Afzaal Akbar and his niece Sanam Rahman announced joining PML-Q. Former minister Ch Wajahat Hussain, Ch Shaan Zafar, and others also attended the ceremony.
