President urges youth to follow principles of Quaid-e-Azam

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday urged the youth to follow the ideals and principles of founding father Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to achieve the goals of progress and development of the country.

Addressing a seminar in connection with the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Islamabad, he said, “The youth had played a pivotal role in the creation of Pakistan and now it is time they come forward for the building of the country.”

Highlighting different traits of the character of the founding father, the president said, “The great personality of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah will always be remembered in the history and his ideals will be written in the golden words.”

He said, “Quaid-e Azam through his conduct and teachings taught us that all the problems can be confronted with determination and consistency.”

“We can overcome all the present day challenges by following the life of the greater leader,” he added.

Mamnoon Hussain said, “Pakistan today stands at a critical juncture where golden opportunities such as China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project are knocking at the doors of the country.”

“It is our responsibility to contribute towards the fulfillment of such mega projects to ensure a bright future and build positive image of Pakistan in the comity of nations,” he said.

He also urged the youth to reject despondency and focus on their education.

In his remarks, Minister of State for Education Baligh-ur-Rehman highlighted the steps taken by the government for promotion of education in the country.

He appreciated the president for setting a good tradition of organising such programs aimed at reliving the memories of the leaders of Pakistan Movement.

He said, “The youth should learn the qualities of leadership and perfection from the life of Quaid-e-Azam to achieve their goals.”
