ANF seizes 665kg drugs


Multan - The Anti Narcotics Force Multan region has busted an inter-provincial ring of drug paddlers as a special raiding party recovered huge amount of charas and opium from a truck and arrested two accused during a roadside cordon off near Kabirwala on Sunday.
“We’ve succeeded to recover 663 kg of charas and two kg opium that were hidden in boxes especially created underneath the body of the truck (E-3822) for this purpose. The arrested accused are identified as Abdul Sattar and Muhammad Waris,” confirmed Jahangir Khan, assistant director of ANF Multan region, in a statement.
The ANF was tipped off by an informer that the accused were bringing a massive consignment of drugs from tribal area of Peshawar for interior Punjab and Sindh. The ANF party caught the truck near Pul Bagar, Kabirwla and succeeded to recover the narcotics.The assistant director further disclosed in the statement that the accused had confessed to their crime.
