The government did not take Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf on board on 20th amendment, as it is out of the parliament. If rulers want to hold fair elections, then they should take entire political parties including PTI and Jammat-e-Islami into confidence.

Vice President of PTI Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and Shah Mehmood Qureshi said this during a joint press conference, which was held at Qureshi’s residence here in Multan on Monday. They demanded that government should devise a clear cut policy regarding interim set up for holding free, fair and impartial elections.

Javed Hashmi said that the back door negotiation process is on the way between PPP and PML(N) as both parties think that PTI could cause loss to them. He said that both the ruling parties have faced a set back in Southern Punjab and the two parties are trying to save themselves from the Tsunami of Tehrik-e-Insaf.

“PTI is in the favour of limiting the authorities of army . It should not be given right to intervene in the civil affairs”, he added.

He said that there is not two views on the human rights violation in Baluchistan , where the number of missing persons are increasing day by day. Pervez Musharraf caused loss to the country by killing Bugti. It is fact that unjust behaviour  is being carried out with Baluch.

Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi said PTI has come out for a change and people direly need it and they have expectations from PTI as they are disappointed from the both parties.

He said that the nation has guessed that the country is moving in which direction . The incident of Raymond Davis, Abbottabad assault, attack on Salalah post and now presentation of resolution in US  Congress regarding Baluchistan are the warning for big threats but the rulers have bent down their heads completely before USA.

He said that the situation of Baluchistan is deteriorating and people every walks of life are worried about it. The state of affairs in the region is perplexed. Recently tripartite summit was held which discussed ways and means to restore peace in Afghanistan but the situation could not get better there.

He said that it is the need of hour that the country might revamp the priorities by keeping national interests in view. He said that PTI does not want confrontation with the USA but after coming into power it would frame new foreign policy in which national interests would be kept on top.

“I make appeal to the people that they should not cast their votes in the bye-elections of NA-148 and NA-149 , which are going to be held at Multan”, he added by saying that fresh elections should be held in the country under interim government.
