LAHORE – Six people including four girls were allegedly kidnapped from different areas of the City on Sunday.
According to police sources, the 25-year-old shopkeeper Muhammad Ali was kidnapped from Liberty Roundabout, Roma Pervez from Gowalmandi, Saba from Begum Kot, Samreen from Shadab Colony (Chung), Adnan Shah from Industrial Colony and Babar from Nawab Town.
The concerned police have lodged cases against unidentified accused with no arrest till filing of this report. Further investigations were underway.
Meanwhile, the dead body of an unidentified man, aged about 60 years, was found from Bhaati Gate police area on Sunday. The concerned police claimed that he was a drug addict. Later, his body was shifted to the City morgue for autopsy.
Accomplices attack police to release PO: A large number of people including women attacked a police team to release two convicts from their custody in Barki police area on Sunday.
Police investigators said a police team led by a Sub-Inspector Riaz raided a hideout at Ludhar village and arrested a PO notorious drug dealer. “The police party was coming back to police station after arresting the culprits when a residents including females attacked policemen and got their accomplices released,” an on duty police officer told TheNation.
He added that the police have lodged a case against 10 men and have also arrested one of them. Further investigations are underway.
