RAWALPINDI - Mutihidda Usataza Mahaz (MUM)(united teachers’ front) has announced to hold a hunger strike camp at Aabpara if their demands were not met.

During the meeting of the association, held in a local hotel, it was decided to stage hunger strike on 17th May. Besides taking out a public rally on 23rd May from China Chowk to parliament house. The meeting was convened by chairman MUM, Haji Abdul Ghaffar Qadazia and others. Meanwhile, in sheer violation of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) bylaws, 1486 residential houses are being used illegally for commercial purposes in federal capital. Using of residential houses for commercial purposes caused million rupees loss to Sui gas and electric department because they are receiving residential charges. CDA has imposed fine of Rs 0.5 million to 80 offices and also issued notice to 839 people for violating CDA bylaws by using residential houses for commercial purposes.
