ISLAMABAD - Bahria Town International Women Squash Championship will start today (Thursday). Despite international players’ withdrawal at the eleventh hour, the organisers were confident that the event would be a huge success. Meanwhile, a very positive development was witnessed, as PSF secretary Amir Nawaz confirmed that NOC had been obtained for second seed Korean player Ahineun Chan. “Ahineun will be provided 72-hour visa upon her arrival at Benazir Bhutto International Airport Islamabad and in case of non-availability of flight to Islamabad, she will be given same facility at any other part of the country. We have also approached second Indian girl to join her country fellow in the event while Sri Lankan player has already arrived.”–Staff Reporter
