LAHORE - An exhibition of paintings, calligraphy and fresco works of the National College of Arts’ students kicked off at Zahoorul Akhlaq Art Gallery of the college here Wednesday.

College Principal Dr Murtaza Jafri inaugurated the exhibition which displayed the annual project works of the students of the departments of Calligraphy and Fresco paintings.

On the occasion, more than 20 students of the both departments showcased about 60 art pieces. The students beautifully wrote verses of Holy Quran and poetic verses of different poets.

A student depicted a confused situation on the chess board which according to her was the depiction of the ongoing confused state of mind of the Pakistani society. The works were completed by the students under the supervision of Ustad Gohar Qalam.

On the occasion, the principal appreciated the students for their works and Ustad Gohar Qalam. He said the NCA provided the students best working environment in order to excel their artistic abilities.
