ISLAMABAD - Republic of Azerbaijan Finance Minister Samir Sharifov sought support of Pakistan for hosting of Expo 2025 and WB Conference 2021. During a visit to Pakistan, Samir Sharifov delivered a special message from Azerbaijan president to Pakistan's PM, seeking support for the expo and conference in Baku. PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi assured the delegation of considering the request for support for hosting the events. The two sides exchanged views on possible cooperation in areas of mutual interest, especially in the energy and agricultural sector and discussed various measures to enhance trade.–Staff Reporter

They also discussed the current situation in Indian occupied Kashmir and Nagorno-Karabakh and reiterated continued mutual support on these disputes.
