MULTAN-PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the current year is the year of election and PPP will make government with the active support of the youth.
Addressing a gathering of PPP workers via hologram technology here at the residence of PP-198 president Malik Rizwan Haans, he said that the young workers are the most precious asset of the party and their importance could not be neglected. He stressed upon the youth to play its role in reorganisation of the party.
“The youth is our force and strength. They need to play the role of our pilot party to launch a massive membership and reorganisation campaign across the country,” he said. He was of the opinion that the active participation of the youth in membership drive would strengthen PPP at grass-root level.
Speaking on the occasion, former MNA Syed Abdul Qadir Gillani said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari bridged gap between the leadership and workers through his hologram address. He added that the speeches of PPP chairman delivered very positive results. He said that the next general election would pose a very serious challenge and all workers had to launch a massive joint effort to successfully accept this challenge. He said that the young workers got charged after seeing Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in charge of the party.
HEALTH WEEK
The health department has set up 17 counters across the district to offer for free medical examination and medicines to the citizens in connection with health week.
The health week is being marked by the Punjab Government across the province and free tests for the diagnosis of diseases like hepatitis, TB and diabetes will be conducted at the health counters.
The health week activities got kicked off in Multan with the inauguration of health counter at Shahbaz Sharif General Hospital. CEO Health Multan Dr. Shahid Bokhari and Medical Superintendent Shahbaz Sharif Hospital Dr. Zahid Akhtar said on this occasion that doctors and other paramedical staff had been deployed at these counters and the citizens could avail this facility throughout the ongoing week.
