LAHORE - A 13-year-old girl died under mysterious circumstances at her home in the Kahna police precincts on Monday morning. The police moved the body to the morgue for autopsy.
The deceased was identified as Zahida. Her mother told the police that Zahida shot herself accidentally at home. She was rushed to a hospital by her brother where she succumbed to bullet injuries. The police were investigating the death.
Man gunned down
Unidentified gunmen killed a 25-year-old man at a crossing in Harbanspura area and fled instantly, police said on Monday. The deceased was identified by police as Mudassar Abbas, who was working as Naib Qasid at a government department in Lahore. Resident of Sargodha district, Abbas was residing at a rented house in Amir Town located in the limits of Harbanspura police.
It was not clear yet whether the man was shot dead by gunmen during a robbery attempt. The vicinity where the shooting occurred is considered among the most crime-prone localities of the metropolis.
However, police claimed that Abbas had contracted love marriage in recent past. A police investigator said they were investigating the killing keeping in mind all aspects of the incident including enmity or personal grudge. The body was shifted to the morgue for an autopsy. The police also registered a murder case against unidentified gunmen and launched investigation with no arrest made yet.
Factory owner found dead
A 55-year-old man was found dead at his friend’s house in Gujjarpura police limits on Monday. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Hanif, was running a small manufacturing unit in the same locality. According to police, Hanif stayed at his friend’s house on Sunday night.
The next morning he was recovered dead from a bedroom. The police were investigating his death.
