Grenade attack at police station wounds 3 cops in Peshawar

PESHAWAR - Three policemen were injured when terrorists attacked the Phandu Police Station with hand grenades early Saturday morning. Personnel of the bomb disposal unit and a police contingent were moved to the site after the incident. The recording from CCTV cameras shows a man, having covered his face, hurling hand grenades at the police station. A cop on the occasion chased him, but he escaped. Police have sent the CCTV for forensic analysis and to get clear picture of the suspected attacker. Later, CCPO Abbas Ahsan and SP City Attique Shah visited the Lady Reading Hospital to see the wounded cops. SSP Operations Haroon-ur-Rashid also went round the mentioned police station after the incident. It merits a mention here that police have tightened security as threats have been received recently regarding possible attacks.
