ISLAMABAD - At least 16 terrorists were killed while two soldiers of Pak Army embraced martyrdom in fighting between security forces and the terrorists in South Waziristan Agency and Swat-Malakand region, ISPR reported on Tuesday. According to details, the troops conducted cordon and search operation near Kunar Sar in Admi Kot (Wucha Bibi) on Razmak sector. During exchange of fire, 10 terrorists were killed and five were apprehended. The security forces also carried out area domination operations at Badam Shah near Pash Ziarat, Ghariom, and Mankai Algad near Makeen in the same sector. On Jandola sector, the forces conducted search and clearance operation at Udin Sar near Janata and defused three IEDs. During search and clearance operation, an IED blasted at Udin Sar near Janata and two soldiers embraced martyrdom. Under relief activities, a total of 30,037 Cash Cards have been issued to displaced families of Waziristan. Meanwhile, in Swat-Malakand region, the security forces conducted search and clearance operation at Palai, Sherpao near Charsada, Asharbanr near Charbagh, Dagai near Kabbal, Sar Qala near Daggar and Udigram, killed six terrorists and apprehended one suspect along with huge cache of arms and ammunition. Four terror suspects voluntarily surrendered to security forces at Zara Khela.
