A lawmaker of the Awami National Party and three others were injured in bomb explosion when his vehicle was targeted through a remote control device on the Ring Road here Wednesday. The vehicle was severely damaged in the blast. ANP MPA Aurangzeb Khan and his three body guards sustained injuries on head and other parts of the body but their condition is out of danger, said Dr. Abdul Hameed Afridi, Chief Executive of the Lady Reading Hospital. Police said three persons sustained injuries in the blast. The bomb was planted on a road side close to the residence of the MPA that created seven feet deep crater on the ground. The MPA was on his way to participate in the death anniversary of late Khudai Khidmatgar Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan alias Baacha Khan (22nd) and Khan Abdul Wali Khan (4th) being observed here at Nishat Hall. It is pertinent to mention here that late ANP MPA Alamzeb Khan who was assassinated in a bomb explosion in Peshawar city was brother of Aurangzeb Khan, MPA who has been attacked and sustained wounds. Aurangzeb Khan was elected to the provincial assembly in a bye-election from PF-1 constituency which was vacated after assassination of his brother Alamzeb Khan in the blast.
