LAHORE - Judicial Magistrate Izharul Haq Alvi on Wednesday granted five-day physical remand each to Naveed Iqbal and his accomplice Atif Abbas, murder accused of of Justice Javed Iqbals parents. The accused were produced before the court by Model Town CIA. Seven days remand was demanded for conducting the interrogation to recover the looted money and gold ornaments besides ascertaining a clue from them for the arrest of the third accused Muhammad Amin. The court granted five-day physical remand when the Deputy Prosecutor General Rana Bukhtyar sought the seven-day remand of the accused. Bukhtyar informed the court that the police had to arrest Amin from Karachi where his presence was being told on which the court granted the remand for five days only of the accused. According to details, the step-brother of senior Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan Javed Iqbal, Naveed Iqbal had allegedly killed Javeds parents some days ago with the help of Atif Abbas and Muhammad Amin at Calvary Ground, Lahore. As CIA police had arrested Naveed and his accomplice Atif Abbas two days ago.
