RAWALPINDI - Police apprehended a fake currency dealer from Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH) on Wednesday night and seized counterfeit currency notes worth $1,000 from his possession. According to Muhammad Akbar, a sub inspector of PS Waris Khan Police Station, informed TheNation on Thursday that Auranzeb, resident of Bannu, was nabbed by police from the canteen of BBH after getting a tip off and shifted him in police station.

Police seized 10 fake currency notes of 100 USD each from the possession of the accused, he added.

He said the accused was presented before the court of area magistrate who granted five days physical remand to police. Further investigation is on, he said.

Replying a query, the SI told that five months ago Aurangzeb fled from the custody of PS Cannt, where five cases were registered against him.
