FAISALABAD - Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Chief Executive Officer Tariq Mehmood Chattha has directed to take special measures to provide best possible medical facilities to the officers and staff of the company.

He was talking to the medical staff of 50-bed Wapda Hospital here Thursday. He said that services of specialist doctors along with best medicines should be provided to the Fesco officials. He pointed out that Fesco was spending huge money on the payment of medical bills and hence best services and facilities were the right of its staff.

Earlier, Medical Superintendent Dr Shamim Niaz and DMS Dr Tariq Bashir briefed the CEO and said that Wapda Hospital had 6 specialists, 11 Medial Officers, 1 Dental Surgeon and medical staff consisting 50 individuals. He said that hospital was proving medical facilities to more than 7,000 registered employees and officers. They are getting medicines along with the facilities of x-rays, laboratory test and operations. He said the hospital had best arrangements for the safe disposal of clinical waste while special efforts were being made to keep the hospital clean.

Later, the CEO along with HR&A Director General Mian Shahzad Raza visited various wards and departments of the hospital. They also asked the patients about the facilities offered by the hospital administration.

The CEO expressed satisfactions over the performance of hospital staff and issued directives to start evening shift in this hospital for the benefit of on duty staff. He also stressed the need to organise awareness related seminars for the benefit of FESCO employees.

Former UC nazim joins PML-N: Former UC 56 Nazim Advocate Mian Afzal Yaqoob has announced joining Pakistan Muslim League-N at a press conference at PML-N here district office.

He said that PML-N central leader Hamza Sharif had invited him to join the party, so he made the decision. He also expressed confidence in the leadership of Nawaz Sharif.

He criticised the PPP leadership saying that the PPP-led government had disappointed people which had turned into anger and would spill over if the government did not change its attitude.

PML-N District President Ch Amjad Ali Javed, Senior Vice President Mian Naheed and Sardar Nawab were also present on the occasion.
