QUETTA - A man killed his wife over domestic dispute in the provincial capital on Thursday.

According to details, Matiullah Sanjarani, resident of Kashmirabad Quetta opened firing at his wife Jamila Bibi with a pistol and escaped from the site after committing the crime.

As a result, she was shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta where she succumbed to her injuries.

Later, the relatives of deceased brought her body outside Quetta Press Club and staged a demo to protest her killing.

The mother of Jamila Bibi told reporters that Matiullah used to torture her daughter. ‘He killed my daughter and also opened fire on me but luckily I remained safe’, she added.

She demanded of the government for immediate arrest of accused Matiullah and stern action against him.

Police said Jamila was killed over domestic dispute and police were trying to arrest the accused Matiullah.

Police have registered a case and started further investigations.

Blast outside PPL office:  Explosives planted outside Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) office in Sui area of Dera Bugti exploded. However, no loss of life was reported.

Separately, unidentified people fitted explosives device with a gas pipeline in Sui which was defused timely by Sui Rifles on Thursday.
