LAHORE – Trying to take shelter in new hodge podge thought, the City’s Operations Police Chief GM Dogar has said the moral of Lahore Police could only be boosted up by constructing new police stations herein the provincial capital. He expressed these views while inaugurating a new Mustafa Town police station, which was a police chowki before this recent development. With this addition, now 82 police stations are working across the City having the ‘army’ of more than 30000 police personnel. Regardless, the ever increasing crime of all categories is touching to the sky; the top cops of the City Police are all set to build new police stations for what they claim to hunt down the criminals. Nevertheless, the DIG Mr. Ghulam Mahmood Dogar awarded 12 motorbikes, deputed 40 police personnel, 16 upper subordinates and one police van to newly established Mustafa Town police station. The DIG, flanked by SSP Operations Sarfaraz Falki, SP Shoaib Khuram Janbaz and other senior officers, said on this occasion that Nawab Town Chowki, Mustafa Town Chowki, Data Darbar Chowki and now Industrial Area chowki have been made police station. “Two more police stations in Islampura and Shahdara will be build soon,” he added.
