Geelani donates property to trust

ISLAMABAD - Veteran Hurriyet leader and Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Ali Geelani, has donated his entire immovable property to an autonomous and independent Trust.
The announcement to this effect was made by Syed Ali Geelani at a meeting of his party at his residence in Srinagar, Kashmir Media Service reported.
The property includes the residence of the veteran leader at Hyderpora, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet head office building and Millat Publications.
The Trust comprises eight persons who have been authorised to use this property only for the purpose of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet.
"Trust will utilise its assets for promotion of fundamentals and mission of Tehreek-e-Hurriyet. It is no more now a private or individual property. Nobody has any claims to anything in these properties," Ali Geelani said.
"I pray to Almighty Allah for acceptance of my efforts and absolve me of shortcoming and weaknesses and give me strength to stand by the pledge till my last breath," the veteran leader said.
He said that Tehreek-e-Hurriyet was not a mere political organisation but a religious organisation too and had emerged as a symbol of resistance in the political scenario of Occupied Kashmir.
He reiterated his appeal to the people to boycott the forthcoming elections for the so-called Kashmir Assembly and Indian Parliament in the territory as India portrayed these elections as consent of people and alternative to the Kashmiris right to self-determination.
