Warid introduces online payment portal

Parkinson’s Society’s campaign
LAHORE (PR): Pakistan Parkinson’s Society has announced the launch of ‘Fall Prevention Campaign’ aimed at Parkinson’s disease patients, who due to moment disorder and balance problem have a propensity to fall and injure themselves  
The Fall Prevention Campaign which besides doing an awareness program also includes giving free walking canes to the needy Parkinson’s patients. The program will run in collaboration with major hospitals.
Haroon Basheer, Founder Chairman of Pakistan Parkinson’s Society, highlighted the mission of the Society which was to create awareness in order to ease the life of Parkinson’s patients.

Soomro appointed as Matco Rice director
KARACHI (PR): Pakistan’s largest bvasmati rice exporter, Matco Rice Processing (Pvt) Limited has appointed Iftikhar Ahmed Soomro as an independent, non-executive director to its Board of Directors.
Soomro brings along his vast corporate experience of leading many prominent private and public sector companies of Pakistan. He has previously served as the chairman of APTMA and as a director of Pakistan State Oil, Pfizer Pakistan, Park-Davis, Wyeth Pakistan, SITE, KESC, Sindh Fine Textile Mills and other corporates. Soomro has also distinguished himself in the field of public service, previously as an elected member of the Sindh Assembly and member of Cabinet. Currently he is the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Tunisia.
