LAHORE - A writ petition was filed in the Lahore High Court on Monday seeking judicial inquiry into the petrol crisis, with pray to suspend minister for petroleum and natural resources for committing criminal negligence in the matter.

Safdar Shaheen Pirzada, a lawyer-petitioner, had filed the petition submitting that the government created an artificial shortage of petrol and defrauded the nation of billions of rupees.   Every citizen suffered a lot due to shortage of fuel, especially of petrol. The sale of petrol in black, however, continued and people used to fleece general people by charging double price of1 liter petrol.

The petitioner requested the court to immediate suspend petroleum minister and secretary for their criminal negligence and leading the whole nation suffer due to shortage of petrol.
