Man commits suicide

LAHORE  - On the wedding day of his elder brother, a 30-year-old man ended his life by swallowing poisonous pills in Shadbagh, police said on Monday.
Mudassar Ullah refused to participate in the Baraat (wedding procession) of his elder brother because he was not given new clothes for the event, according to his family.
The resident of Hammad Colony was jobless. Mudassar was also admonished by his mother for not joining the Baraat.
As the Baraat left the house, he took poisonous pills and was rushed to a hospital, where he expired later. The police handed over the body to the family without autopsy.
Two found dead
Two persons were found dead from different parts of the provincial metropolis on Monday, police said. The Edhi Ambulance service shifted the bodies to the Mayo Hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
The police are yet to ascertain the identity of the dead. Police said that a 50-year-old man was found dead from Data Darbar police precincts while a 35-year-old man, apparently a drug addict, was recovered from Montgomery Road on early Monday. Further investigation was underway.
