Lahore- Skipper Misbahul Haq today expressed his team’s vision for the 2015 World Cup. Green shirts departed from Lahore to Dubai and will eventually fly all the way to Brisbane and then Auckland, where their training will begin with two ODIs against New Zealand.
Misbah said, “It is important to play our best cricket and not think about winning or losing in the World Cup.”
“Every match is important for us. We are focused on the big match and we’ll try to end the jinx of not having won against India in the World Cup,” he added.
Newly appointed team manager Naved Akram Cheema said the team has been playing regular cricket in the past six months and is in good touch.
“If everyone can keep up the team spirit, we will make the nation proud,” said Cheema.
Pakistan ended up as the losing semi-finalists in the 2011 World Cup.
