Specifically for females, a religious congregation was held to celebrate Edi Miladun Nabi (SAWW) at the bar room here on Sunday.

A large number of women from Khanewal, Vehari, Kabirwala, Abdul Hakeem, Multan, Mian Channu, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Kacha Khu and Jhanian attended the Miladun Nabi (SAWW) gathering. The event was arranged by Khalid Mehmood Advocate and Sumera Khalid. The religious programme started with the reciting of some verses from the Holy Quran by Sumaira Khalid. Naats were presented by Sumera Khalid (from Khanewal), Nafeesa (Abdul Hakeem), Khursheed (Katcha Khu), Aneela Saeed (Khanewal) and Amina (Kabirwala).

The stage and the hall were beautifully decorated by Rabia Ghulam Rasool along with Farhat, Attique, Saima Attique, Anam, Nasima Riaz, Shaheen, Iqra Akbar, Saba and Jira Rafique. Addressing the gathering, Saima Ghulam Rasool said, "We are here for celebration of the coming of the Last Prophet (SAWW)." She urged the participants to seek love of Allah Almighty through the Holy Prophet (SAWW). She said being Umma of the Holy Prophet (SAWW), it is our duty to celebrate his birth anniversary with zeal and zest because this is also Sunna of Allah. When the Holy Prophet (SAWW) was born, Allah Almighty Himself celebrated the birth of His beloved Prophet (SAWW) along with the angels, she said.

He elaborated, "Hazrat Asiya (AS) and Hazrat Maryem (AS) were sent to the house of Hazrat Amina (RA) and told her that Allah Almighty's most beloved and blessed personality in the universe would be born to her. Living one's life in accordance with the commands and instructions of Allah and His Prophet (SAWW) is the touchstone thereby we can measure our success and failure. It is a matter of great misfortune that we have given up the teachings of Allah and His Prophet (SAWW) but they have not left us in the lurch and continued to shower their blessings upon us in spite of our failings. We need to promote Islamic culture among the national youth."

Later, delicious food was distributed to the participants by Abida Khalid and others.

Special prayers for the martyrs of APS Peshawar and also for the prosperity of Pakistan were offered on the occasion.
